教育经历：
1982-1986年浙江林学院学习，获学士学位
1988-1991年北京农业大学学习，获硕士学位
2002-2005年德国基尔大学留学，获博士学位
工作经历：
1986-1988年在浙江省黄岩市林业局工作
1991年至今在中国农业科学院茶叶研究所工作；2006年以来担任研究员、博士生导师，2013年4月起任副所长；
1998和2002年 香港浸会大学生物系访问学者
2008年 英国牛津大学植物系访问学者
科研情况：
研究领域和方向：茶树栽培与生理生态，茶树生理与营养
2006年以来主持或参加国家自然科学基金、国家科技支撑项目、农业部行业专项和浙江省等科技项目，较系统地研究了茶树氮、钾、 镁等素营养特性及养分对茶叶品质代谢的调控作用机理，对茶树氮素养分吸收的时空变化特点、肥料氮（15N）在茶园土壤中转化特性等进行了深入研究。提出了养分管理技术，在全国生产茶园中进行初步应用，取得显著的增产增收和节约肥料投入的效果。
获科技成果奖励9项次，其中中国农业科学院科学技术成果奖一等奖2项（排名第1、第5），省部级二等奖3项（排名第1、第6、第7）、三等奖4项。取得发明专利4项（排名第1和2各2项）。主编科技著作5部、参加编写著作3部；发表SCI收录论文24篇，制定行业标准5项。
2002年入选浙江省新世纪学术和技术带头人（第一层次），2005年入选中国农业科学院杰出人才（二级），2009年浙江省委、省政府授予“优秀科技特派员”荣誉称号，2011年浙江省人民政府授予“浙江省农业科技先进工作者”荣誉称号。
